Course Outline
An introductory Religion and Belief Equality training workshop giving participants an overview and opportunity to discuss issues around religion, beliefs and equality.
Aims
Religion and Belief Equality training workshop participants will:
- Learn about religions and belief, the differences and similarities within the workplace
- Consider the extent of their own influence on religion and belief equality and diversity issues
- Consider ways of minimising all forms of discrimination in the workplace using the F.A.I.R Approach
Objectives
As a result of this Religion and Belief Equality training participants will:
- Know what constitutes discrimination with regards to religion and beliefs, within the organisation and society as a whole
- Be able to relate more confidently to people whose sexual orientation and experiences are different to their own
- Be able to recognise discrimination and know how to respond if they see or experience it
Participant Group
All staff should receive this Religion and Belief Equality training.

Religion and Belief Equality training workshops can include:
- Religion in Britain - demographics
- Consideration of common perceptions of different religions and how they affect day-to-day interactions
- Discussions around discrimination and its various forms
- Consideration of inequalities in society
- Overview of legislation and how it relates to religion and beliefs
- How to resolve day-to-day issues using the F.A.I.R. approach
