Equality and Diversity
An introductory workshop giving an overview and opportunity to discuss issues around equality and cultural diversity.
Equality and Diversity For Managers
A workshop for Managers at all levels, providing skills to manage, create awareness and to promote Equality and Diversity.
The Essentials of Developing and Delivering Equality and Diversity Training (Train the Trainers)
More and more organisations are now conducting diversity training, either as a stand alone intervention or as part of a larger diversity effort. However, we see enormous variations in training approaches. Given that each organisation has unique circumstances, we recommend that training be closely aligned with the specific diversity – related needs of the organisation.
Disability Equality
Disability Equality is a one day course that helps all business sectors especially, organisations, charities which receive public sector funding and those that procure with the public sector to fulfil its obligations under the DDA 2005 and begins to build a sound understanding of disability issues.
Age Equality
In its latest projections the Office of National Statistics indicates that nearly a third of the labour force will be over 50 by 2020. Businesses increasingly need to recognise the
benefits of age diversity in the workplace.
Treating staff fairly and recognising individual talents and needs is not just the right thing to
do, but makes good business sense as well. The Government’s new age discrimination
laws will give individuals important new rights, extend existing rights and remove traditional
barriers.
Race Equality
The fact that racism is present today and is reflected within society, the workplace and institutions requires an understanding from all employees at all levels, of Racism and its pervasiveness. People who feel they have no future in an organisation may not contribute their best. People who do not contribute their best often do not have a future in an organisation?
Religion and Belief Equality
This programme as been designed with the intention of providing an informed
understanding, awareness and sensitivity with regards to religious, beliefs and cultural
characteristics that may differ from our own.
The programme is by no means a comprehensive study, but will hopefully provide a
platform for a better understanding around cultural lines of difference, leading to a more
tolerant and inclusive workplace and society.
Sexual Orientation Equality
Throughout history there have been people who have had homosexual feelings and
experiences. In fact in some cultures at some times these feelings have been celebrated
or at least accepted rather than stigmatised.
In the UK there have been a series of important struggles for gay and lesbian equality.
This has been marked by demands for the right to be parents (adoptive and natural) the
right for fair treatment at work and to marry are to name but a few. This programme looks
at these issues and offers the opportunity to openly discuss and express opinions in a respectful and safe environment.
