Granville Thelwell

Personal Profile

Granville has worked in the training and development field since leaving university with a Business Degree. He started working for organisations that dealt with behaviour, culture, equality and diversity among young people and minority groups; tackling issues of discrimination in areas of recruitment and promoting respect across cultural lines of difference.

He continues this work tirelessly, in research, design and development, as well as training on this subject. Granville is a competent and dedicated professional, training staff at all levels in equality, inclusion and diversity. Completing the level 4 train the trainers in disability and equality has substantially increased his understanding of the issues surrounding the disabled community. He admits there is still much to learn.

Granville has also achieved professional standards in management and care. He has become increasingly active in training and development in materials relevant to diversity and equality not only in the UK but also in the USA (Cornell University New York).

Granville brings a fine sense of humour and masses of energy to his work.  He uses his personal experience as a minority very powerfully. And uses his own background, life experience, and ideas to help others explore their thinking and find their own practical solutions in equality issues.
