Carl initially entered the workplace to expand his knowledge and understanding of business, management and culturally sensitive issues. This experience resulted in a true belief that he could make a difference. He continues to demonstrate a desire to succeed, good business acumen and excellent people management skills.

To date Carl has accumulated a successful business portfolio incorporating a diverse range of companies including; Residential Care Services for Children & Young People, conveying young offenders to courts and other institutions, Marketing, Training and Consultancy.

Carl’s success in business over the years has afforded him the opportunity to support and represent many projects, especially in his local community.

Carl has been Instrumental in the development and implementation of policies and procedures and service provision for organisations in both the voluntary and private sectors, providing support, business development initiatives and liaising with government bodies for under-represented and minority groups in the Stoke on Trent area.

Carl has become increasingly active in training and development in matters relevant to diversity and equality. Carl has also visited the USA (Cornell University New York) to expand his knowledge and to gain other perspectives in this area. Carl has studied at the University of Birmingham in Social Work Management.
