Company Profile

Cultural Identity Awareness Ltd

Cultural Identity Awareness Ltd was set up initially to support and promote race equality interventions across all business sectors and residential communities. However, it soon became clear with the forthcoming Equality Bill which sets out how the new legislation and directives under a singular commission (CEHR) Commission for Equality and Human Rights will provide a more collective approach to promoting and working towards social inclusion for all our UK citizens.

This objective is not without its challenges; the reality is that we live in a society that is not conducive to change or which easily embraces difference. It is therefore essential that any progression towards a more harmonious and tolerant society/workplace will require an understanding and commitment not only from local and central government, the business community and the diverse communities which now make up the population of the UK, but also as individuals, it is here where we all have a major part to play.

Understanding that diversity is not just about ; age, race, gender, nationality, religion, disability or sexual orientation, it also includes differences such as occupations, job roles, regional differences, status (vocational and social), education, departmental, salaried – voluntary – part time or full time status.

Understanding that equality is not just about representation, social inclusion or eliminating discrimination. It's also about questioning and challenging attitudes, behaviour, it involves identifying our own stereotypes and biases where in history we adopted some of our present day values, beliefs, prejudices along with the external factors that have an impact on society.

With many years combined experience in research, development, training and consultancy, our diverse team of dedicated personnel seek to share our experiences and solutions to these issues that are prevalent today. Through our holistic national framework of equality focused products and services, we set out to develop, promote, support and build upon current and future equality and diversity initiatives and activities within the public, private and voluntary business sectors.
